Our Europe Team


Guy Phillips is Chairman of the Americas. Guy has extensive M&A and capital markets experience with large capitalization and growth companies, entrepreneurial families, hedge funds and private equity funds.
Previously, Guy was Global Head of the Consumer Products & Retail Group at UBS Investment Bank and a member of the Investment Banking Division Executive Committee. While at UBS, he also served as Global Head of the Entrepreneurs Coverage Group which was responsible for all corporate finance activity with the firm’s entrepreneurs and families. In that role, he sat on the Executive Committee for the UBS Latin America Wealth Management Executive Committee. He also served as European Head of the Private Equity Coverage Group, where he had responsibility for providing investment banking services to leading private equity firms.
Prior to attending business school, Guy was also a Product Manager in the Chemicals business of Rhone-Poulenc S.A., a French manufacturer of specialty chemicals for a variety of industries, including the personal care and beauty industries.
Guy is the Founder of NuOrion Partners, a private investment firm, and is a Senior Advisor to 17Capital.


Emma is an Associate Director in the business, having joined Spayne Lindsay & Co. in 2020. She is a graduate of KU Leuven University in Belgium (Master in Business Economics and Postgraduate Degree in Corporate Finance) and from ESCP Europe in France (MSc in Marketing & Communication).
Prior to joining Spayne Lindsay & Co, Emma worked in M&A Advisory at BNP Paribas in Paris and Brussels and Mizuho in London focusing on international transactions mostly across the consumer and industrial space. Most recently she worked as an M&A Manager at Groupe Casino, a leading French food retailer.
Emma is a native Dutch speaker and speaks fluent French and English.


Dara is an Associate Director in the business, having joined Spayne Lindsay & Co in 2022. He is a graduate of the University of Nottingham, where he studied Politics & American Studies, and is a Chartered Accountant having qualified with KPMG.
Prior to joining Spayne Lindsay & Co, Dara worked in the Corporate Finance team for Vista Global, a leading Private Aviation business, and at Unilever within their Home Care finance team. Before joining Unilever, Dara worked for Rothschild providing a range of investment banking advice to clients in the Consumer, Retail and Leisure sectors and KPMG in their Private Equity Deal Advisory division.


Chris is a Partner in the business, having joined Spayne Lindsay & Co in 2011. He is a graduate of Oxford University holding a First Class Master’s degree in Chemistry and is also a Chartered Accountant, having qualified with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Since joining the Spayne Lindsay & Co team, Chris has led and worked on several buy-side and sell side M&A and advisory projects including the £550m sale of Quorn to Monde Nissin, the sale of Reflex Nutrition to Associated British Foods and the £180m sale of Karro Food Group to Capvest.
Prior to joining Spayne Lindsay & Co, Chris worked as a member of the Corporate Tax advisory team at PricewaterhouseCoopers with a focus on US inbound and PE portfolio companies, many within the consumer sector. Latterly Chris worked in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Transaction Tax/Business Recovery Services Tax team where he worked on general M&A structuring and tax restructuring solutions of distressed and insolvent companies.


Alexandre Weill is a Partner in the business, and part of our Paris team since April 2021.
Prior to Spayne Lindsay, Alexandre worked three years at Messis Finance, seven years as a chef and restaurant entrepreneur, ten years in investment banking at Morgan Stanley (Paris and London) and one year at CS First Boston (Paris).
Across his 15 years of experience in M&A, Alexandre has advised on more than 20 deals for a total value exceeding $30b and worked across all products including M&A, LBO, IPO, secondary offering, bond issues, etc.
Alexandre is a graduate of HEC Paris (1998) and Ferrandi Paris (2011), French school of culinary arts and hospitality management.

Alexandre Weill is a Partner in the business, and part of our Paris team since April 2021.
